do you cycle?

Currently struggling to type a four-page essay for my History class and craving for chocolates (what's new).

Little snippets of my home. Both Singapore and California. I feel so blessed to be able to call California my home as well. Having great, loving, kind, caring (i could go on and on) people around me, and the Lord keeping me safe and sound every single day. I want to start taking photos again using Tom and my film camera that was gifted to me by my girlfriend (sup, qin). I've also got my man (sup, boo) to share this journey with which i am very thankful for. I'll be back, adios for now.

Bali

(image heavy post)

Well... hello there! It's been a long time since i've visited this space and after much persuasion from my dear friend hui qin, popularly known as 'daisydooms' (always taking incredible photos, go check her out), i've finally decided to post something.

Earlier this year, i took a trip to Bali with 3 girl friends of mine for our graduation trip. It still feels surreal because it was my very first time travelling without any guardian. It did take a whole lot of convincing buuut all is well, the trip was great! Feeling nostalgic already as I type this post. It's my second time visiting bali but i don't exactly have vivid memory of what i did in the first trip other than the fact that i was playing non-stop at the arcade because i really wanted to win this huge ass soft toy.

I must say i really miss slurping down instant noodles (we were on a budget, heh) and dipping our feet into our private pool while blasting out songs. Oh yes, our villa was fabulous but the long narrow route to the street with all the shops etc was kinda creepy at night, which made it more exciting. Thinking about it, it was kinda hilarious as well because we paired up and switched on our iPhone flashlight and sang christian songs as we walked back to our villa.

Day 1: On our first day, after settling down, we roamed around the street to familiarise ourselves with the route  and thought we'd take a look at the Seminyak beach.  I regretted not bringing my camera out because we witnessed such a beautiful sunset (which were all captured on our iphones)

Nicole and Amanda's room. When we first entered our villa, those two monkeys ran to this room claiming its theirs, thus leaving Andrea and i the master bedroom. Sounds good but heck no we were slightly creeped out at their insanely large bathroom so for 3 consecutive nights, we had a bath in nicole and amanda's bathroom, HAHAHA.
Our huge ass room
 View from their room
aaaand view from ours!
Day 2: We dedicated our second day to the beach
We really wanted temporary tattoos and andrea had a packet of henna so........
 breakfast (grocery shopping is fun)

three sassy looking girls HAHAHA

Pizza at a mexican restaurant before we made our way to the beach (most definitely missing the cheap food and alcohol, hehe)

Andrea's beautiful long hair
Nicole's ultra soft and sleek hair (she might probably kill me for this photo)

Quaint little mexican restaurant

Day 3: Shopping here and there along the streets, lots of bargaining (my dad was right, i AM bad at bargaining). We walked so much just to find Starbucks (white girl moment HAHA)

Made friends with this caucasian man who's been living in Bali for almost 2 years

cooking dinner (LOTS of instant noodles, pop mie yum)
Day 4: More shopping!
huge mirror and messy bed

While walking, we stumbled upon a diner! We were so attracted to the place (we watch way too many american dramas/movies) because we'd never seen a diner in singapore! not that i know of any here. The only thing missing that would complete the whole american diner feel was a jukebox.
Ordered some drinks and chilled at La Plancha on our last night. The atmosphere at night was really chill. It was worth getting our feet and butt covered in sand from the beanbags.
It was so dark we had trouble taking a group photo (the pink lighted table is ours)
Day 5: Last day )-:
50 cent bracelets
Adios, Bali! Had a great time with great company.
